Suggestions

Collect community ideas, vote on them, and manage their flow.

How it works

A member submits a suggestion, and the bot posts it numbered in the suggestions channel with voting buttons. Everyone else votes, and the staff decides from the queue page on the dashboard or from the message itself. On a decision the suggestion changes color and status, and its author gets a DM.

Statuses

Every status carries a label, an emoji, and a color. The status is what appears on a suggestion after the staff decides, and it recolors the embed, so anyone passing through the channel reads the outcome at a glance.

Tips

Suggestions turn ideas scattered across chat into an organized pipeline. A member submits, the bot posts it numbered in the suggestions channel with voting buttons, everyone else votes, and the staff settles it. Every stage leaves a visible mark: a pending suggestion carries one color, and a settled one carries its status color and emoji, so any member reads the outcome at a glance.

The filters are what keep the system from turning into noise. A cooldown in seconds stops anyone flooding the channel, a minimum and maximum length blocks one-word suggestions and long essays, plus a require-content rule, an image size cap, and deleting the original message after posting to keep the channel clean. Above those, allowed and blocked roles decide who can submit at all.

The voting options shape the nature of the debate: anonymous posting separates the idea from its author so it is judged alone, blocking self-votes stops people padding their own count, and locking voting after a decision cuts arguments on a settled suggestion. On a decision the author gets a DM written by you, along with the staff response if you wrote one.

The queue on the dashboard is where the staff works: every suggestion in one table, accepted or denied in one click with an optional response. And the review channel gives the staff a copy of every suggestion away from the member channel.
