Music

A full music player with a persistent, customizable control panel.

The idea

A full music player with a queue, effects, and favorites, plus a single always-on control panel in a channel you choose. Members control playback from the panel buttons without typing any command, and the panel shows what is playing now and refreshes with every change.

Tips

The player gives your server a full listening experience: a queue, search with results you pick from, favorites members save and return to, and audio effects. What sets it apart is that all of it is driven from a single always-on panel in a channel you choose, so nobody has to memorize a command.

The panel carries twelve buttons: pause, skip, stop, loop, shuffle, volume down and up, search, add to favorites and the favorites list, the queue, and effects. Every button is controlled on its own: hide it, or change its emoji, label, and color. Hide what goes unused so the panel stays clean.

Player settings settle the behavior: a default volume, leaving when playback ends and leaving when the room empties, each with its own switch and its own delay in seconds, and a DJ role plus control roles deciding who can pause and skip. Without control roles, any member can stop the song on everyone else.

Music runs on helper bots of the music kind, and the main bot plays nothing. The first playback in a voice room sends in a free helper bot, and that bot stays bound to that room with a queue and controls fully independent from every other room. Panel buttons drive the bot sitting in the presser room. The number of rooms playing at once equals the number of helper bots, and once they are all busy the requester gets a reply saying so.
