Counting

A channel where members count in sequence without mistakes.

How it works

You dedicate a channel for counting, where members post numbers in sequence: 1 then 2 then 3. The bot reacts to every correct number and handles mistakes according to the rules you set. The page shows the current count and the highest the server ever reached, with a reset button next to them.

Setup

The four rules

The three reactions

The ruin message

A message sent when the count is reset by a mistake. It is built with the full message editor and has variables naming who broke it and the number they had reached.

Tips

A counting channel is a group game with the simplest possible rule: the next number, and nothing else. Its power is that it is a shared goal, so the whole server builds one number and starts protecting it. The page shows the current count and the highest the server ever reached, and that second number is what creates the challenge.

Four rules decide how strict the game is. Allow ruining makes a mistake wipe everything, the classic harsh mode. Allow counting twice in a row decides whether one person can count alone. Delete wrong numbers cleans the channel instead of leaving the mistake on display. And Numbers only wipes anything that is not a number, keeping the channel pure counting.

Three reactions give the instant feedback: one on a correct number so members feel the progress, one on a mistake, and a third when a milestone number is hit at the interval you set. Alongside them is a ruin message built with the full message editor, posted on reset, naming who broke it and the number that was lost.
