Classic Guards

A set of traditional guards for every side of your server.

The idea

Six guards working on the same principle: every action gets a count limit within a time window, and whoever crosses it is stopped. What differs between them is the action they watch. Each guard is its own page with its own limits, actions, and exemptions.

Tips

Six guards working on one principle: every action gets a count limit within a time window, and whoever crosses it is stopped. What differs is the action they watch, and each is its own page with its own limits, actions, and exemptions.

Anti-spam watches ordinary members: a message limit and a duplicate limit within a window, with actions including temporarily disabling the channel, which the other guards do not offer. The rest watch administrators: channel guard on creates, deletes, and updates; role guard on creating, deleting, updating, adding, and removing roles; moderation guard on kicks, bans, and unbans; timeout guard on timeouts and their removal; and server guard on server settings updates.

Their most useful trait is that they expose an overreaching moderator, not just an attacker: someone kicking ten members in a minute, handing out roles in bulk, or using timeouts as a weapon. All of it surfaces without anyone noticing manually.

Every guard shares the same settings: the action type and its duration, ignored roles and channels, a reason shown in the Discord audit log, and whitelisted bots. Strip roles is the best first action, since it stops the damage and leaves you room to review.
