Automatic backups turn it into a habit rather than a chore you have to remember: you turn it on, set how many hours between backups, and how many to keep so the oldest is deleted automatically. Or take a manual backup right now with a name to tell it apart.
Restoring comes in two very different forms. Restore settings brings the whole bot configuration back. Recreate roles and channels rebuilds the saved server structure from scratch, and the bot then tells you how many roles, channels, and categories it created. The second is heavier, so keep it for disasters rather than tweaks.
You can also download any backup as a file kept on your own device, which is the safest form: a copy outside the system is untouched by anything that happens inside it.
At the bottom of the page sits the opposite of a backup: resetting the server data. Settings are one thing and accumulated data is another, and this button erases only the second: levels, currency, warnings, jail records, tickets, invites, and everything your members built up. Backups and your login survive, so erasing never costs you the way back.
Because it cannot be undone, the button stays locked until you type the server name into the confirmation box, and then it asks once more. The erase never touches any other server the bot runs, since it is limited to the one open in front of you.
